Emergency services attended Teesworks at Redcar this morning (July 13) after an 'incident', which saw a fire at the industrial site.
Fire crews attended Trunk Road in Redcar at around 11.10am following reports of a fire at Teesworks, and found flames at the site and workers on the site that were attempting to put it out.
Five fire engines, from Middlesbrough, Grangetown, Redcar and Coulby Newham, were used during the incident, and put on standby after staff from the site managed to extinguish the fire themselves.

In total, crews from Cleveland Fire Brigade spent an hour and a half on the scene and were seen leaving at around 12.55pm.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "We were called on 13/07/2023 at 11.12am to an incident on Teesworks.
"Five fire engines in attendance from Middlesbrough, Grangetown, Redcar and Coulby Newham. Crews on protective standby.
"Site personnel extinguished the fire and handed the incident over to the site manager.
"We left the scene at 12.53pm."
The North East Ambulance Service confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We received a call at 11.47am this morning (Thursday 13 July) to reports of a fire on Trunk Road, Middlesbrough.
"We dispatched one clinical team leader to the scene who was stood down by our fire service colleagues as our services were not needed."
This incident comes a month after a man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following another fire at the Teesworks site.
