A North East comedian has been spotted in a new BBC programme that follows the case of a scamming County Durham travel agent.
Stephanie Aird, from Hartlepool, is known to thousands for entertaining them with her hilarious comedy videos about losing weight, coffee shops and her partner Ian.
Taking to Facebook, Aird shared that she was part of ‘The Sunshine Scammer’ which is available on BBC iPlayer.

The programme, as part of ‘The Big Cases’ series, is described as a ‘Bogus travel agent from County Durham, conning hundreds of holidaymakers and her family in a £2.6 million scam, which also saw her lie about a cancer diagnosis.’
As part of the show, fraudulent travel agent Lyne Barlow, who pretended to have terminal cancer and left more than 1,400 holidaymakers out of pocket or stranded abroad has been jailed for nine years.
In the programme, Aird plays a Fraud Victim.
Many of Stephanie’s followers spotted the internet sensation, with one saying: "I did, I watched it earlier and it was the voice I recognised looked up and there you were on screen lol. Everyone should have a Steph in their life. You brighten my day up."
Another penned "Spotted you straight sway and went back twice just to make sure.
Your voice gave it away."
While a third added "Just watching it. You were scary. I'd give you your money back".
Stephanie has also appeared on Judge Rinder as well as BBC Two’s ‘Take A Hike’. Aird continues to tour around the UK, entertaining the masses with her comedy and music shows.
