A popular venue is celebrating 75 years of the NHS with a prominent North East MP this weekend.
Dormans Club in Littlethorpe, Middlesbrough are marking the organisation's anniversary by hosting a family fun day on Saturday (July 8).
Dormans will be supported by the NHS' Our Hospitals Charity, along with help from community groups, trade unions, local councillors and Middlesbrough MP Andy McDonald.
The event will have stalls, food, fairground rides, bouncy castles, dancing exhibitions - along with performances from local bands and artists, as well as a disco.

Gordon Rowntree, secretary of the Dormans Club said: "Following on from the covid crisis, it is only right that we support the fantastic work of the NHS and make this a day of celebration where we can do more than just clap for the real hero’s of the pandemic, the doctors, nurses and ancillary staff that make up the NHS."
Lisa Meehan, fundraising manager from Our Hospitals Charity, said: “We are delighted that our friends from the Dormans Club are hosting our NHS 75th birthday celebrations.
"We are so grateful to everyone involved who has given up their time to ensure a successful event.
"We hope the local community can come together and join us for the celebrations."

The event is free to the public and will run between 12pm and 5pm.
It will be attended by Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire Brigade, while members of South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust will be competing in various sports events during the day along with their children playing a football match.
The event will also be supported by Middlesbrough council as well as other local politicians.

Philippa Storey, Deputy Mayor of Middlesbrough, said: “This is a brilliant event. The NHS has been at the heart of our communities, since its inception 75 years ago.
"It’s incredibly important that the work of our doctors, nurses, paramedics and support staff is recognised and that we have this opportunity to say thank you to them and happy birthday to the NHs.
"l don’t know where we’d be as country without it.”
