These are the postcode areas in the North East and North Yorkshire where power could be switched off today.

Northern Powergrid has confirmed that hundreds of homes across parts of the region are expected to be affected by the switch-off on Monday.

The power is being switched off temporarily in planned works so that the utility company can carry out repairs in the specified areas.

It comes as some planned power cuts in the region, due to take place yesterday, were cancelled.

The work from Northern Powergrid is not unusual and follows a similar pattern from all utility companies, who often carry out work to improve the network.

However, some on the list (listed below) will have unplanned outages, which Northern Powergrid say they will sort "as soon as possible".

If your household has not yet received advanced communication about a planned power cut, you are not scheduled to see your supply cut off.

In the North East and North Yorkshire, the following postcodes will see power restored by 1pm after some homes will be cut off at around 9.30am:

  • TS15 9JD
  • TS15 0HR
  • TS15 9WF
  • TS15 9LQ
  • TS15 0DY
  • TS15 9NZ
  • TS15 9LR
  • TS15 9LX
  • TS15 9LS
  • TS15 9WE
  • TS15 9NA
  • TS15 9LU
  • TS15 9LY
  • This will impact around 20 homes.

In the North East and North Yorkshire, the following postcodes will see power restored by 1pm after some homes will be cut off at around 11am:

  • HG4 3AA
  • HG4 3AQ
  • HG4 3AG
  • This will impact around 20 homes.

In the North East and North Yorkshire, the following postcodes will see power restored by 12pm after some homes will be cut off at around 8am:

  • DH6 1HL
  • DH6 1PA
  • DH6 1HQ
  • DH6 1HG

  • DH6 1HJ
  • DH6 1HN
  • This will impact around 50 homes.

In the North East and North Yorkshire, the following postcodes will see power restored by 1pm after some homes will be cut off at around 10am:

  • Around 70 homes will be impacted.

In the North East and North Yorkshire, the following postcodes will see power restored by 8.45am after some homes were cut off at around 3am:
