Petrol heads were treated to a unique display of United States motoring yesterday afternoon (July 2) as the American Classic Car and Bike Show took place in County Durham.
Crowds gathered at Ushaw Historic House in Ushaw, Durham to view nearly one hundred vehicles from the US that would have graced highways in the 1960s and 70s.
On display were classic Chevrolets, cop cars and even a Thunderbird with attendees given free rein to peruse and examine the inside of the vehicles dotted around the gardens.

The event also provided classic Yankee live entertainment, delicious American food and refreshments from a bar and mocktail station.
Other forthcoming events at Ushaw include the Forties’-themed Way Back When, on August 5/6, Sounds on the Bounds Rock Choir, on Saturday, August 19 and Ushaw Viking Takeover, on the August Bank Holiday weekend, August 26-28.
