A leading veterinary hospital in Bradbury, County Durham, has appointed a new Head of Emergency and out-of-hours care as the service aims to stay “ahead of the pack”.
Megan Walsh, an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner, has been promoted after joining Wear Referrals as an intern seven years ago in 2016.
The University of Nottingham graduate will now lead the practice’s award-winning care as the centre stays open all hours of the day, 365 days a year.

Following her appointment, Megan has set her sights on staying ahead of the pack and becoming the leading centre for care in the region.
She said: “This is my first management role, so I have a steep learning curve ahead of me leading and mentoring the incredible team of associates who work for the OOH department.
“They all bring something unique to the service and all work together to an incredibly high standard to achieve the very best care and possible outcome for our patients.”
