“The line-up for this year is incredible with huge, international superstars who enjoy a global following.
“We know that audiences are going to be excited to see who’s coming so keep a look out on the Middlesbrough Mela socials to see who we’ll be announcing.”

A spokesperson for the Mela likened the event a souk or international market, and said visitors can expect an "amazing" array of food, fashion and fabrics.
Councillor Philippa Storey, Middlesbrough Council's deputy Mayor and executive member for culture, said: “It truly is fantastic work from the Mela organisers and testimony to the reputation of Middlesbrough Mela that global stars are set to play the main stage.
“We can’t wait to see Albert Park full of people, having a great time and enjoying the free entertainment and activities on offer. Definitely save the date on your calendar!"
