Willis Lease Finance Corporation and its subsidiary, Willis Aviation Services Limited are investing £25million in a Jet Centre and Aviation Village, bringing 250 to 300 jobs to the region.
Part of the 49-acre stretch west of the main terminal building was originally earmarked for 350 homes before it was bought as part of a deal to bring the airport back into public ownership in 2019.
The Aviation Village is set to include five hangars for aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) and painting operations, as well as a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) building for Business Aviation – the Jet Centre.

Licensed Aircraft Engineer
Licensed Aircraft Engineers are responsible for performing maintenance on time and in accordance with the applicable requirements, regulations and approved standards in order that all maintenance is released to service in a safe and compliant manner.
Administration Assistant
The post holder reports to the Office Manager and supports the provision of business specific and transactional office-based activities. The post holder works collaboratively with other team members and Managers to provide duties of administrative support services.
Aircraft Technical Cleaner
As an Aircraft Technical Cleaner, you will be required to carry out cleaning of aircraft and aircraft components, including but not limited to aircraft exteriors, flight controls and cabin interiors.
Aircraft Trimmer
Aircraft trimmers perform cabin and interior repair, modification and maintenance work under supervision to ensure that all cabins and other areas inside an airplane are well maintained.

Operations Officer at the Jet Centre
The provision of excellent customer service Operator customers, visitors and crews ensuring their requirements are met efficiently and effectively. Responding to handling requests ensuring all services are anticipated and arranged.
Planning & Records Engineer
This is a role within the UK CAA and EASA Part 145 approved aircraft maintenance functional area performing planning of maintenance, planning the availabilities of the means to perform the work, control of maintenance data, preparation of work packages and record archiving activities.
Technical Planning Manager
The Technical Planning Manager is a key role within the aircraft maintenance & storage department primarily responsible for planning of maintenance activities, planning the availabilities of the means to perform the work, control of maintenance data, preparation of work packages, archiving of records and provision of technical services when required.
Stores Manager
This role is primarily responsible for managing the main stores at the Teesside facility to ensure all parts, materials, tooling and equipment are booked in and controlled in accordance with company approved procedures.
