An unkempt roundabout has been branded an ‘eyesore’ by angry residents.
The overgrown roundabout on Stokesley Road in Northallerton greets visitors to the town as they approach it from the A19.
Grass towers up on the roundabout and even partially obscures some of the signage.

David Toon, 77, who lives on the new Taylor Wimpey estate, said: “It’s been like this for some time.
“It’s an eyesore – it’s the first thing people see as they are coming into Northallerton from the A19.
“Northallerton is meant to me a nice place with good standards but it looks terrible.
“The council cut the grass near the roundabout but not on it. Taylor Wimpey still look after the estate.
"My wife complained last year and they came and cut it but it's been left to get like this again."
Another local branded it a "disgrace".
It’s understood developer Taylor Wimpey is currently responsible for maintenance of the roundabout, including cutting the grass, but it will soon be handed over to North Yorkshire Council.
Promises have now been made that grasscutters will attend the roundabout within the next week.
A Taylor Wimpey spokesperson said: “We are sorry that landscaping at the roundabout on Stokesley Road at our Stokesley Grange development has not met our usual high standards.

“We have instructed a new landscaper who will carry out work to improve the condition of the roundabout landscaping within the next week.”
North Yorkshire Council’s interim head of highway operations, Jayne Charlton, said: “The roundabout on Stokesley Road will be cut in due course as part of our rural grass cutting programme.
“We always listen to residents’ concerns and our contractors will carry out the cutting as soon as possible.”
