A man has appeared in court following several alleged burglaries in a County Durham town.
Kyle Mawson was yesterday charged with six burglaries and two fraud offences following thefts from homes in Ferryhill this month.

The 36-year-old, of Bessemer Street, Ferryhill, did not enter any pleas when he appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court today (June 21).
He was remanded into custody until his next appearance at Durham Crown Court on July 18.
