A speeding driver has been slapped with a fine totalling over £1000 after taking his car over speeds of 70mph on the A1(M) in County Durham.
Cassia Zubeda Qureshi, 35, of Lynemouth Way, Newcastle upon Tyne, was required to hand over information relating to the identification of the driver of a Vauxhall car in Spennymoor on March 16 last year, but failed to do so.
At Peterlee Magistrates' Court on June 20, the offence was proved in her absence.
She was handed fines of £660, a victim surcharge of £264, costs of £90 and handed six penalty points.
