Police have appealed for students or staff who were at a Darlington school in 2000 to help them trace a potential witness.
Officers are hoping to speak to the school’s former deputy head teacher who worked at Polam Hall School in Darlington around the year 2000.
They believe she could be able to assist them with an ongoing investigation as a witness.

In a Facebook post Darlington Police said: "We are appealing for your help in trying to contact a potential witness as part of an ongoing investigation.
"Detectives are looking to speak with the school’s former deputy head teacher who worked at the school around the year 2000.
"She is believed to have been called Mrs Taylor.
"Officers have exhausted all other means of trying to trace her and are now appealing for the public’s help."
The force added: “Anyone that could help should contact Detective Sergeant Liam Robertson, from Darlington CID, on 101, extension number 202690, or by email at liam.robertson@durham.police.uk”
The nature of the investigation is not yet known.
