A car was completely destroyed after a devastating fire next to a petrol station in County Durham late last night (June 19).
Firefighters from County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service attended to a car parked between Coronation Avenue and the A1086 in Blackhall Colliery at around 10.20pm following reports of a vehicle fire.

After being at the scene for over an hour, firefighters put out the flames - but it resulted in the car being completely destroyed.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Reports of a vehicle fire came into CDDFRS control at 10:20pm last night (Monday 19th June.)
"One appliance from Peterlee attended the incident. They used one high pressure hose reel to safely extinguishing the fire and left the scene at 11.45pm."
