An elderly woman woke to find her home had been broken into as she slept and money stolen.
The incident happened overnight between Friday and Saturday (June 16 to June 17) on Dunsley Court in Guisborough.

Missing was a quantity of cash and a small black purse containing her bank cards.
Police are now appealing for information about the incident and are looking for witnesses to come forward to assist their enquiries.

Cleveland Police said in a statement: “Officers are appealing after a burglary at the home of an elderly woman during the hours of darkness.
“Anyone who may have information or any CCTV in the area of Dunsley Court is asked to contact Redcar and Cleveland CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 117390.
