A crash caused severe traffic disruption on the A1 in Gateshead, this morning (Friday, June 16).
The incident occurred around 6:45am today just at Lobley Hill, Gateshead, resulting ion a lane closure for a number of hours.
No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision and the lane was reopened around 7:20am.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Just before 6.45am today (Friday), police received a report of a single-vehicle collision on the A1 in Gateshead near Lobley Hill and Dunston.
“Thankfully, no-one was injured. Police attended, and the carriageway was successfully cleared shortly after 7.20am.”
