A woman has appeared in court today in connection with a stabbing incident outside a Durham launderette on Tuesday (June 13).
A woman was taken to hospital following the incident shortly before 5pm on Sunderland Road, Gilesgate in Durham.
Rachel Shaw of Kepier Crescent, Durham, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, and common assault.

The 43-year-old was not asked to plead to the charges during a short hearing.
She has been remanded in custody to appear at Durham Crown Court on Monday July 17 for a plea hearing and for trial preparation.
Residents earlier described the scene of the incident as emergency service vehicles converged on the street outside Old Cinema Launderette on Sunderland Road in Gilesgate Moor.
A woman was rushed to hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Armed police, paramedics, fire crews and the air ambulance were all present at the scene the following day, where a cordon had been put in place.
