A woman will appear in court today charged in connection with a stabbing incident outside a Durham launderette on Tuesday (June 13).
A woman was taken to hospital following the incident shortly before 5pm on Sunderland Road, Gilesgate in Durham.
A Durham Police spokesperson said today (Thursday): "A 43-year-old woman has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, and common assault.
"She has been remanded in custody to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court later today."

Residents earlier described the scene of the incident yesterday as emergency service vehicles converged on the street outside Old Cinema Launderette on Sunderland Road.
A woman suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital where she remains receiving treatment. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Armed police, paramedics, fire crews and the air ambulance were all present at the scene the following day, where a cordon had been put in place.
