Popular chain supermarket Aldi will open the doors of its newest supermarket in County Durham tomorrow (June 15), as it prepares to welcome its first customers into store.
The popular shop, which has countless branches in the North East already, will open up its doors to the first members of the public on Watling Road in Bishop Auckland.
Aldi will move into the old Iceland building after months of renovations on the site, with the grand opening of the store taking place on Thursday morning.

The grand opening comes after Iceland in Bishop Auckland closed for the final time on Monday, November 21, 2022.
The new-look store offers increased space for customers and has allowed for more items to be offered at the local branch of Aldi.
It will be open Monday to Saturday 8am until 10pm and Sunday 10am until 4pm.
