But how does this compare to other artists’ merch as they visited the North East this year?
Fans of Texan superstar Beyonce criticised the prices of merch at the singers Stadium of Light show on May 23 as hoodies were priced at an eye watering £100.
This came as a shock to some attendees who were charged £120 for the same hoodies at the star’s Cardiff appearance.
Other items up for sale in Sunderland included t-shirts, priced at £45 each.
Comparing that to the Arctic Monkeys gig at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium on June 5, merch including tote bags and hats were on sale priced at an average of £30 each.

Part of Fender’s gig tonight includes a Greggs pop up dive bar for fans to enjoy on both dates of his Newcastle appearances.
The Seventeen Going Under hitmaker recently announced the “pre-gig experience” at the Greggs’ Grainger Street shop in the city, that will surely be a treat for fans heading into the city this evening.
