A 170-foot-tall beauty spot in the Yorkshire Dales National Park has hit the market for £150,000.
The cliff, known as Kilnsey Crag, is a popular tourist spot in Wharfedale, North Yorkshire, and has been described as a ‘totally unique opportunity’ to purchase.
The ‘awe inspiring and internationally recognised’ landmark was formed thousands of years ago and the cliff stands at 170ft (51m) tall with an overhang of 40ft (12m).
It is also known by rock climbers all over the world as one of the most iconic and challenging climbs to be conquered.
It is listed by Savills York, who believe there is significant potential for further enhancement and protection of the area
The 18.76 acre land has been managed by a government programme called an Agri-environment scheme over the last 20 years.
The scheme aims to help and support farmers manage their land in an environmentally friendly way.
Will Douglas, Savills’ Rural and Projects Director of York, said: "The availability of such an internationally recognised cliff represents a totally unique opportunity.
"Kilnsey Crag is the backdrop and natural amphitheatre to the famous, annual Kilnsey Agricultural Show and is a popular tourist attraction.
"The sale offers significant natural capital, amenity, biodiversity and environmental opportunities and we fully expect its availability will capture the imagination of many interested buyers."
