We are a few days into the hottest TV show of the summer as Love Island graced our screens once more for eight weeks of romance, drama and some serious grafting.
But one islander who is already becoming a favourite of ITV viewers is Glasgow’s Ella Thomas, who it appears had quite a makeover before coming into the villa.
As host Maya Jama announced Ella had been coupled with Essex boy Tyrique Hyde (thanks to the public), the model was convinced she knew the semi-professional football player in the outside world.
Ella explained to the other islanders that she thought 24-year-old Tyrique was pretending to not recognise her as the pair had previously “met in London”.

However, when she told him she used to have blonde hair in an awkward conversation by the pool, he soon remembered her.
What did Love Island’s Ella Thomas look like with blonde hair?
It was only three months ago when Ella posted numerous glam selfies with blonde hair on Instagram to her 21.6k followers.
In one “weekend dump” we can see the 23-year-old posing on the train with her lighter-coloured locks, travelling with a fluffy companion and in nightclubs with friends.
Another snap taken outside a building shows Ella strutting her stuff in a neutral-matched outfit.
Fans have been quick to find the social media star, as one comment reads: “anyone scrolled back to see the blonde?” along with a laughing emoji.
Someone who agreed with Tyrique, said: “Yeah, she does actually look different with blonde hair. I believe him now.”
In a picture that described herself as a “Golden barbie”, one account wrote: “Im not surprised tyrique didn’t recognise you with blonde hair! You look so different on,” with a heart emoji and island emoji to spell out ‘love island’.
