A resident has shared shocking pictures online of a Houghton-le-Spring playpark that has been vandalised with food, leaving children unable to play on any of the park’s facilities.
Food including eggs, flour and ketchup was found spread across the Keir Hardie Park in Fence Houses close to Dairy Lane.
The state of the popular yet small park was discovered by a visitor on June 4, who photographed areas of the park including the slide that appeared to have flour covering them.
