An appeal has been launched after two armed robbery incidents at North East post offices yesterday.
Police are appealing for more information after there were two reported armed robbery incidents in Stockton on Thursday (June 1).
The first of these incidents reportedly took place at 7:40am at a post office in Redhill Road, where a man, armed with a weapon, threatened staff with violence and stole a large amount of money from the tills.
A second incident reported to police involved two men allegedly entering a post office on Rimswell Road armed with a weapon and demanding money, before fleeing in a small black car empty-handed.

Police are currently examining any possible link between the incidents.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are underway after two incidents in Stockton yesterday. Police are currently examining any possible link between the incidents.
"At around 4pm on Thursday 1st June police received an initial report of two males seen acting suspiciously near the post office on Rimswell Road.
"Response officers were en route when a second report was made that the men had entered the shop armed with a weapon and demanded money.

"They are believed to have fled empty handed in a small black car.
"Earlier that day at 7.40am at a post office in Redhill Road, Stockton, a man armed with a weapon threatened staff with violence and then stole a large amount of cash from tills.
"While no arrests have been made at this stage, detectives are carrying out numerous lines of enquiry into both incidents."

This comes after CSI crews were reportedly spotted in these areas yesterday.
Cleveland Police are appealing for anyone with information/dashcam or cctv footage which could help to contact them on the 101 number quoting ref 105275 for the Redhill Road incident and 105559 for the Rimswell Road incident.
