A former police officer is facing a misconduct hearing accused of propositioning a vulnerable woman before assaulting her and another person in Newcastle city centre.
Kevin Woof is also alleged to have attempted to leave the scene afterwards and subsequently to have told lies about the events during an evening.
The ex-Cleveland Police officer is facing charges that he breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour for police officers, specifically the standards of:
- Honesty and Integrity.
- Authority, Respect and Courtesy.
- Duties and Responsibilities.
- Discreditable conduct.

The allegation, which is laid out in the force website, reads: "It is alleged in Newcastle City Centre former PC 2318 Kevin Woof propositioned a vulnerable woman and then assaulted her and another member of the public, attempted to leave the scene afterwards and subsequently told lies about the events that night."
The misconduct hearing, which will take place in public, is due to take place at Middlesbrough Football Club, Riverside Stadium, Middlehaven Way, Middlesbrough, TS3 6RS, from 10am on June 21.
