There was fun for all of the family at this year’s Richmond Meet on Monday (May 29) that saw hundreds flock to the popular event.
The sun was shining in North Yorkshire as a perfect backdrop for festivities that included live music, face painting, a treasure hunt, games, and food stalls.
While the three-day event sparkled on the Saturday and Sunday, Bank Holiday Monday marked the parade, which saw a range of amazing costumes from films such as Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.

After the parade, families were seen flocking to the food stalls and fairground rides dotted around historic Richmond, while others could be seen enjoying the sun in the market square.
This year’s Meet president is Paul Hadden, who has designed his traditional Meet badge with influences of his hometown football team, Huddersfield Town, and the Buck Inn, which he runs with his wife.
The event has been held in the town for more than 130 years.
