A motorcyclist has died after a crash on a rural road on Saturday (May 27) morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident on the A696 near Belsay, Northumberland shortly after 9.30am on Saturday.
The motorbike rider, a 63-year-old man, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.

Locals told the Echo they saw the air ambulance coming in to land to assist paramedics, with police also in attendance.
A full investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the crash and the rider’s next of kin have been informed.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information, or CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward to assist them with their enquiries.
Sergeant Andy Ferguson, of Northumbria Police, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this awful time. We will continue to support them in every way we can.
