A Washington takeaway has been left feeling stunned after receiving an order to be delivered to Beyonce at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light.
Bombay Barn, an Indian takeaway located on Front Street in Washington, received the order just after 6pm on May 23 to be delivered to the Stadium of Light’s VIP entrance.
One member of staff told The Northern Echo that the whole team are “big fans” of the megastar who appeared at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light for one night only on May 23.

The Texan megastar appeared to order a curry tapas box, including a Lamb Curry, Chicken Bhuna and Indian Chunky chips to the ‘VIP Entrance’ to be delivered after the show ended.
The order even seems to show an authentication code allowing the delivery driver to access backstage crew.
If the order was for Queen Bey herself, she must have worked up an appetite after performing for two hours to 40,000 fans at the Stadium of Light.
Fans flocked to the venue on May 23 to hear the ‘Love on Top’ singer perform old classics and new favourites – with some fans even camping out over 24 hours to beat the queues.
This was the first time Beyonce has travelled to the North East since 2016 on the Formation tour, with this latest appearance as part of her Renaissance album tour.
Some travelled thousands of miles to see the pop sensation sing, with some flying from the likes of Brazil and New Zealand to Sunderland for the show.
Once fans were inside the stadium and showtime came closer, fans went wild singing along to hits and dancing in the aisles of the stadium.
