Rockliffe Hall in Hurworth, just outside Darlington, is a finalist in the Large Hotel of the Year category at the Visit England Awards.
This comes after a win earlier in the year at the North East Tourism Awards.
The Large Hotel of the Year award recognises full-service hotels providing truly memorable guest experiences and demonstrating excellence across every aspect of the business.
Reaching the final is a huge coup for the hotel as the competition was strong, with over 350 eligible local winners across 16 competitions in 20 categories competing for what is considered the highest accolade in English tourism.

Jason Adams, Managing Director at the 5-star resort commented: “We are delighted to represent the region at the national Visit England Awards for excellence, after our Large Hotel of the Year win at the North East Tourism Awards, earlier this year.
“I am proud of every team member who plays a part in delivering exceptional experiences for our guests at Rockliffe Hall and being recognised nationally would be a testament to their hard work and commitment.”
