A man has been charged with two counts of theft from a motor vehicle, possession of a pointed/bladed article, and going equipped to steal.

The 34-year-old allegedly committed the offences between Monday, May 8, and Wednesday, May 17.

He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today (Friday, May 19).

It is not yet unknown where the incidents took place.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “A 34-year-old man has been charged with two counts of theft from a motor vehicle, possession of a pointed/bladed article and going equipped to steal.

“The reported incidents took place on 8 May and 17 May.

“The man is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Friday 19 May.”
