Police are searching for two men after a teenager was assaulted late on Saturday (May 13) night.

The 15-year-old victim was left with facial injuries and seeking medical treatment after the attack.

Police said the incident took place near the Wiltshire Way allotments in Hartlepool at around 9pm on Saturday night.

The two male suspects are believed to be unknown to the victim, and could be more than double his age.

The first man has been described as white, around 40-years-old and wearing a red hoodie with dark tracksuit bottoms with white stripes on the legs.

His accomplice is described as being around 30-years-old, white, and with short fair hair. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket with a light-coloured t-shirt, black shorts and black trainers at the time.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for information after a teenage boy reported being assaulted by two unknown men in Hartlepool at the weekend.

“Enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal for anyone with information to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref 091927.

“If you don’t want to speak to police you can pass information anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
