House of Flavour will be opening next week and the team is finalising menus.
The House of Flavour team, who did not wish to be named at this stage, told The Northern Echo: “We’re focusing on quick and easy food made fresh, with fresh produce. We’re looking at burgers, wraps, bao buns, tagliatelle dishes, loaded fries so all sorts really.
“The basic principle is you pick your base, so that could be a wrap, or fries, we’re also doing pizza tacos which is like a folded pizza served like tacos with the fillings in the middle, very colourful and fresh.
“It’s all about good quality streetfood-style food but with quality, fresh ingredients.

“We’ve got 24 tables so plenty of room, and we’ve also got a breakfast bar. We’ve got plenty of room so people can be comfortable.
“We’re local and there’s so many good little places locally and we were trying to fill a gap because some really good places close quite early. Then there’s places just open on Friday and Saturday nights so we thought we’d try and fill a need of having nice food that’s easy and quick during the day.
“We want to bring streetfood from big cities and we’ve already been approached from chefs who have their own pop-ups if they’re looking to do it more regularly in a permanent or regular fixture.”
