Motorists across the country including in the North East are still feeling the pinch as the cost-of-living crisis continues – meaning getting a good deal on your petrol is a must.

Following a busy Coronation weekend, motorists will be filling up their tanks this bank holiday.

Drivers are still benefitting from the 5p cut to fuel duty, that was extended in March for another year by Chancellor Jeremy Hunt.

But prices are still high, as prices currently (as of May 4) average at 145.96p for petrol and 157.71p for diesel.
