Celebrations took place across the North East and North Yorkshire as crowds gathered to watch the King’s coronation.
The Northern Echo's photographers have been out and about all day to capture images from this special day.
We've been to Darlington, Durham, Stockton, Ripon - and more - to capture the occasion.
People watched the ceremony on big screens, set up in various locations, with picnic benches and chairs for viewers, while activities including face painting, Punch and Judy, crown-making and other events went on throughout the day to keep people amused.
There'll be more celebrations tomorrow, with picnics, lunches, street parties and other events all taking place as the country comes together.
And we'll be out and about again to bring you more images from tomorrow.
The gallery will be updated with more images, as and when we get them through the day.
