Two houses in a North East town have been repossessed after repeated anti-social behaviour which police branded as a “blight” on their communities.
Found in Skerne Park in Darlington, the houses have been repossessed within weeks of each other and are now pictured boarded up.
Officers say they were closed due to repeat anti-social behaviour.
The former tenants had also “blighted” their local community with drug use, threats towards neighbours, harassment and verbal abuse.

A spokesperson for Darlington police said: “Thanks to close partnership working between Darlington Borough Council and Police, successful Possession Orders were obtained at court and the properties have now been secured.
“We would like to stress that we do not tolerate anti-social behaviour and will always aim to take positive action with appropriate agencies against perpetrators of such behaviour.”
