A beloved community pub will be reopening this month after a major reinvestment worth more than £300,000.
The Miners Arms on Eston High Street, Middlesbrough is set to reopen on Thursday (May 18) after an investment of £310,000.
The watering hole will be headed up by "community hero" Nicki Jack who has lived in the area her entire life.
The pub has been renovated to allow for a dedicated sports and entertainment area to be installed, as well as a brand-new bar and new furniture and flooring.

Ms Jack, Operator of the Miners Arms is excited about the reopening and said: “The pub looks fantastic, and I can’t believe the transformation.
"I’m really excited to get behind the bar again, see all our customers and support our local community.
"We’ll be starting off by collecting food for a local food bank and running various fundraising events in aid of some great local causes.
“Pubs are the hub of their community, and we can’t wait to be the hub of Eston.”

It will also sport flat screen televisions for the entertainment area, as well as brand new lighting and signage to greet customers, and a refurbished outdoor space.
For opening night, which will start at 6pm, the pub will be celebrating with local singer and artist, Micky Glamz, who will be performing a special rock show at 8:30pm.
The Miners Arms will be offering a wide range of drinks offers, including Wine Wednesday, where customers can get £2 off a bottle, Fizz Friday, offering customers a bottle of fizz for £10, along with cocktails, bottle and shot deals throughout the week.
The pub is part of Proper Pubs, the community wet-led operator division of Admiral Taverns, which has more than 165 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
The pub will plenty of drinks offers to enjoy their new TV sports package which now includes horse racing.
Ms Jack is also planning to reintroduce the popular Sunday games afternoons with stand-up, sit-down bingo, quizzes, karaoke and more to bring the community together.
