The service is priced at 75p per minute, and £22 for 40 minutes, £32 for 60 minutes, £42 for 80 minutes, and £50 for 100 minutes.

The salon originally opened on Wednesday, April 12, and business has been booming ever since.
Co-owner of Tanning Express, Leon Dolby, told The Northern Echo: “Business has been really good so far. We’ve had loads of really good feedback and some great reviews on Google.
“It was quite unexpected, we’ve been really busy. We’ve had well over 200 customers so far. It’s picked up really fast.
“We’re also hoping to offer more things in the future like skin treatments. We haven’t had a single bad review yet which is amazing, and hopefully it stays that way.

“So much work has gone into this since last October, we were up until 4am most nights getting everything sorted to get it finished. It was stressful organising everything because I was working at the same time, and we’ve built nearly everything ourselves apart from the electrical stuff.
“It’s great to finally be up and running with it and we hope people come and try it out because so much hard work has gone into this.”
A combination of Ergoline and Megasun sunbeds are available for customers to choose from.

With the cost-of-living crisis, and hearing about businesses having to close due to an increase in running costs, it’s great to hear about businesses opening and thriving in Darlington in the current climate.
On Northgate specifically, with the closure of the Odeon cinema, concerns spread over the future of that part of town, but as businesses including Tanning Express and Rendezvous Café open on the road, Darlington is proving that it’s still a viable town for start-up businesses.
