A DIY chain has announced the opening of a new store next week, creating seven new jobs.
Toolstation will open its latest store in the region in Spennymoor at the Thinford Trade Park on Monday May 8, perfect for anyone taking on some DIY on the bank holiday.
The opening has created seven new roles in the local area with a wide range of tools and building supplies on sale.

Store Manager Aaron Stanton said: “We are pleased to be opening the new store in Spennymoor, helping support local tradespeople, DIY-ers and home builders with tools and more in the Durham region.
“Our knowledgeable team is committed to providing local customers with a reliable and convenient service for the essentials they need to tackle any task.”
The brand, established in 2003, also has locations in Durham and Peterlee among its 550 sites across the UK.

The new store will stock leading brands including the likes of DeWalt, Stanley, Milwaukee and Karcher, and also provide a click and collect service for customers to order ahead online.
To celebrate the opening bosses are giving local trade and DIY customers the chance to grab a selection of freebies, receive free product demonstrations and insight into new ranges.
The store will be open seven days a week from 7am to 7pm on weekdays, 7am to 6pm on Saturdays and 9am to 4pm on Sundays.
