WICKED is based on the Gregory Maguire novel as it exploring the captivating fictional backstory of L.Frank Baums characters. Wicked is the exploration of two characters lives who become intertwined with eachother and finding their own feet in becoming Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West in this world that they have created. These unlikely friends develop the entire basis of the hit theatre show that is loved by millions globally. And now, can be enjoyed by more UK citizens as it sets off their 2024 tour with locations including Sunderland Empire and Manchester.

Wicked will begin in Manchester 2024 ongoing up until the 12th of January 2025, however tickets for this Manchester tour will go on sale towards the end of 2023. In relation to this, for Sunderland opening night debuts on the 24th of September 2024- as the entire cast is gladly welcoming audiences of all ages to come and lose themselves within this spell-bound and wonderous world that is Oz.  

Sunderland is host to many famous theatres shows such as: SIX, Mamma Mia, Chicago, Les Mes, and hundreds more so it is vitally important for all theatre lovers to watch the website pages in announcement for many new shows to be travelling North and hitting the Sunderland stages. It is clearly highlighted that the return of this show will be highly anticipated with shows likely to sell out upon release due to popularity and loyalty from fans.
