Tynemouth named among best seaside towns in the UK

Tynemouth is one of the region's most famous seaside places to visit but there is so much more to see and do if you're looking for other attractions and entertainment.

For something more unusual, there is Tynemouth's Green Ginger Arcade which offers a variety of independent boutiques for visitors to explore.

There are also plenty of sporting activities to get involved in during the warmer months such as stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and coasteering.
