Drone images have revealed the progress of the demolition of one of Darlington’s most well-known pubs.
The demolition of Hogans began in January this year and the images reveal the dramatic progress made.
The rubble that now remains where Hogans once proudly stood on Victoria Road, will pave the way for an upgraded station entrance and car park for Darlington Railway Station.
The redevelopment will also involve a new road layouts, wider pavements, and easier cycling and pedestrian access.

The redevelopment is part of a wider masterplan for Darlington’s Bank Top station, creating three new platforms to accommodate current services and improve rail connections both within the Tees Valley and beyond via the East Coast Main Line.
Hogans, previously known as the Park Hotel, was seen as a local landmark in Darlington and was originally built as a Temperance Hotel.

The station overhaul will be completed in 2025 in time for the Stockton and Darlington Railway bicentennial celebrations and has been funded by £105 million Government investment.
Now that the demolition is complete, drone images reveal what the site looked like before, during, and after.
