A man was taken to hospital after suffering a medical episode while shopping in B&M Bargains in Darlington yesterday.
Emergency services were on the scene on Northgate before transferring the patient to hospital.
The incident occurred shortly before 12pm yesterday (Monday, April 24).
A NEAS spokesperson said: “We were called at 11:47am to a medical incident at a shop in Northgate, Darlington. We sent one emergency ambulance and transported one patient to Darlington Memorial Hospital.”

Concern for the gentlemen spread on the community Facebook group, You Know You’re From Darlo When.
Sarah Jane Woodward said: “The ambulance has been there a while. I saw it in town. Hope he’s ok.”
An admin for the page commented on the post regarding the incident, saying “From the gent: ‘To the people who stayed with me this morning in B&M store thank you I had a hypoglycaemia due to my diabetes suffered a badly cut head but stitched up now.’”
