Police have found a body in the search for a man who went missing early on Monday (April 17) morning.
Officers launched an appeal to help find 55-year-old Dennis Gibson who was believed to have left his home in his black Vauxhall Astra at around 5.45am.
His vehicle was seen in the Barnard Castle area a short time later.

Police were seen working near the Baydale Beck Inn pub at lunchtime on Monday and erected a cordon around a black Vauxhall Astra at the scene.
It has since been confirmed that police searching for Mr Gibson, from Darlington, have found a body.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of the 55-year-old have been informed.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “the family of the 55-year-old have been informed. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
“An investigation is now underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, although police are not at this time treating it as suspicious.”
