A new budget coach service will be launching in a North East town today offering £2 tickets.

Budget coach provider FlixBus has announced it will be launching a new service in Middlesbrough offering tickets starting from £2 on Monday (April 17).

New routes provided include direct services between Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Middlesbrough.

The provider has said they will be offering the "cost of living crisis busting tickets" from today until April 30 on any journey booked until July 31.

Speaking on the launch and offer, Andreas Schorling, managing director of FlixBus UK said: “We believe transport should be affordable, sustainable and accessible to everyone.

"Response from the UK public to FlixBus services has been phenomenal, so we wanted to give something back to our passengers for our 2nd anniversary.

“We’re really delighted to bringing our services to Middlesbrough for the first time ever, as well as adding more routes and destinations to explore on our network for as little as £2!”

Meanwhile, FlixBus are providing a 20 per cent off code for any ticket to 50 UK destinations on its network.

Adding to this, the coach travel provider offers one of the largest coach network in Europe.
