A North East musician surprised a bar full of customers with a song from his upcoming album.
Guests at Prohibition Cabaret Bar on 25-27 Pink Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne were stunned to silence as Sam Fender performed a song on the piano from his upcoming new album.
Mitch Mitchell, owner of Prohibition Cabaret Bar said: "What a real treat.
"He was a Geordie gent through and through and following his performance just quietly enjoyed his drink with his partner and his band mate Johnny Blue Hat for the remainder of his visit.
"We hope to see him again some time but imagine he'll be pretty busy now.
"We wish him all the best with his new album and his upcoming shows.
"We'll have a drink ready for him any time he wants to drop by and play our old piano again."
Prohibition Cabaret Bar is an old fashioned liquor joint set in the roaring 1920s and has welcomed customer to perform songs since it opened in 2015.

Mitch added: "It's always nice when folk feel comfortable enough to get up and perform off the cuff like that, it's what Prohibition is all about.
"Providing a space for permormers and audiences alike to appreciate live music, free of charge, no matter your situation.
"We're a fully accessible and fully inclusive place for all and we love that Sam chose to join us on Saturday and share something extremely special, not just for us in the room, in that moment, but for his fans and for the North East as a whole."
