A total of 13 businesses across the North East have been slammed with poor food hygiene ratings after the latest round of inspections.
Food hygiene scores from the Food Standards Agency show that a number of businesses across the region have been told they need to make improvements.
The ratings, which are based on hygiene and safety, structural compliance and confidence in management are routinely updated.
Across the UK, every food outlet including convenience stores, restaurants, hospitals and care homes is given a hygiene rating.
