One of the North East’s most popular attractions is seeking new staff to join its dedicated team entertaining its much-valued visitors.
Beamish Museum is advertising three exciting roles to join its team working at the region’s unofficial time machine.
The museum, founded in 1970, welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors every year to its 350-acre site.
Preserving the North East’s industrial, social and agricultural heritage, the museum features an immensely popular retro sweet shop that makes authentic cinder toffee.

Recruiters are seeking a 1950s Town Engager, a Gardens and Woodland Team Engager and a Food and Beverage Engager.
In a Facebook post, the museum said: “Beamish, the Living Museum of the North is a multi-award-winning museum which puts people and the communities we serve at the heart of everything we do.
“We rely upon talented people who are able to demonstrate exceptional skills and personal characteristics to deliver the outstanding and immersive experience we offer to visitors.”

Recent work has seen the museum begin construction on a replica of the Grand Cinema in Ryhope as part of the 1950s town.
Plans will see visitors get an authentic 1950s cinema experience, watching short features and films, and some feature-length film opportunities once the project is complete.
