Recent pictures have revealed the progress of the new Bilsdale Mast set to provide signals to over 500,000 homes.
Riggers could be seen working up and down the mast working from a suspended gondola.
In August 10, 2021, hundreds of thousands were left without signal following a fire at the mast.
Since then Arqiva, operators of the mast, have been working to restore services to people across the North East and are now in the process of building a permanent 300-metre mast.
The new mast is sporting a lattice structure making it more resilient to weather and other external factors.
Construction of the mast was awarded to Thirsk-based contractor Severfield plc back in May 2022.
The constructor was responsible for the building of the new permanent structure, which has a project value in excess of £30m.
