A BAKERY has celebrated its relocation to a new site in a North East town bu offering free biscuits to children.
Thomas the Baker has announced the opening of its Middlesbrough branch to Gilkes Street.
The move was necessitated by the redevelopment of the town's Captain Cook Square into a new leisure destination, which required the pre-existing shop to relocate.
The new shop is located just 200 metres from the old premises.

“We're excited to open our new shop in Gilkes Street and welcome all of our customers, both old and new, to come and see us,” said Simon Thomas, general manager of Thomas the Baker.
“We've worked hard to make sure that the new shop has everything that our customers love about our existing shop, and we can't wait to share it with everyone.”

In addition to the grand opening, Thomas the Baker has announced a special promotion for little ones of primary school age and below.
From now until April 15, children accompanied by a parent or guardian can receive a free gingerbread person - as they believe the term ‘gingerbread man’ has fallen out of favour - with any purchase, redeemable only at the Gilkes Street location.
The offer is available as one gingerbread person per child per day.
“We want to give something special to the little ones in our community, and what better way than with a delicious Ginger Person,” added Mr Thomas.
