One of the UK's greatest Rock and Roll bands Queen has inspired thousands of aspiring young generations in their direction of music, and passions for striving towards the top. One of these has been progressively touring the UK (North) with their live music in tribute to Queen.
Queens four band members: Brain May, Rodger Taylor, John Deacon and possibly most famously late Freddie Mercury, have influenced many tribute bands in their name to arise and have the courage to take to stages all sizes in order to share their commotions for the band. While the British rock band continues to perform globally, with their most recent tour starting in the USA, Queen tributers have been touring Britian, giving the rock enthuisiasts the experience they desire.
Taking place at a Northern Sports bar, the 'We are the Champions' tribute band are one of the most incredible aspiring musicians carrying on the name of Queen as they perform their global chart songs. This tribute has previously stormed the Tyne and Wear in previous years, appearing at Washington Live- alongside Liam Gallagher tribute performers and more. Selling out venues that they appear to, it is a valuable experience I strive for everybody to enjoy. Live music, live guitar solos, live drum beats and most importantly overwhelming vocals by the lead singer, recreating the best music of the 90s charts. The event sold over 300 tickets, with more in demand it is likely that we will be seeing this band take to the stage very soon again.
As they continue to spread their passion for Queen and trail across the UK, they are inspiring and providing incredible entertainment to all who are infatuated with the Rock band.
Set lists including- We are the Champions, Fat Bottomed Girls, Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, Bicycle, Somebody to Love, Who wants to Live Forever; had the audience experincing numerous emotions that they would hope to experience at a live concert of Queen- as they laughed, cried, danced and cheered it was an unmissable atmopshere. As they definatley brought the energy to the venue, the accuracy throughout the 2 hour show filled the entire room with live music and power. Pure joy that spread throughout the audience led the tribute band onto an encore of 'We will Rock You' as audience members stomped and clapped along to the worldwide known beat.
As I spoke to the unbelievable people within the audience it was impossible not to laugh and cheer alongisde them with many expressing the experience as 'Unbelievable', a show that they had been looking forward to all month- this really has been a turning point for the tribute band and many Northern citizens as we progress into 2023, foreshadowing the incredible year that we have yet to expereince ahead.
Continuing through the audience the band was reviewed as 'Remarkable' , 'A true tribute to one of the Greatest Rock bands of the century'. Understandably giving the audience and hunderds of fans an unforgettable night of their life.
While the band were certainly dressed in traditional Queen costumes for the night- it is within their future that they are performing at more upcoming shows in the North- so check out the authentic music if you are also a fan.
