The Prime Minister paid a visit to a popular dessert business while on a tgour of Darlington.

Rishi Sunak popped into Bliss Desserts yesterday (Friday, March 31) after his tour of Darlington's Firthmoor estate with Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen, Darlington Conservative MP Peter Gibson, and leader of Darlington Borough Council Cllr Jonathan Dulston.

He couldn’t resist a quick trip to Bliss Desserts in Darlington Indoor Market, where he posed for a picture.

However, the PM and Conservative MP for Richmond didn’t buy a sweet treat from the independent business becaause, according to a post on Facebook and Instagram from Bliss Desserts, he was “watching his figure”.
